Marketing and E-Commerce Manager - EMEA Emerging markets

Location 

You will be working from our centrally located and very nice EMEA headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark  

(if you do not already live in Greater Copenhagen, Denmark or plan to move, then you will not be suitable for this role)

 

The role  

The role as Marketing and E-commerce Manager is essential for the Emerging markets to succeed as a region with bold growth ambitions.

The job is to drive brand awareness and generate sales via e-commerce and marketing planning and execution in close cooperation with the Sales Director. The Marketing manager will bridge marketing and sales hence play an essential role in growing and reaching the sales targets in the region

The Marketing manager “owns” the regional marketing plans and marketing budgets and will in concert with the Sales director keep a constant “drumbeat” across the region, driving demand and awareness for Steelseries products.

The activities planned by the marketing manager draws on multiple facets, and the daily work will, therefore, require a close dialogue with an extensive range of stakeholders – the local sales team, EMEA marketing as well as Steelseries’ global creative team. The marketing manager will also be a cornerstone in the dialogue with our customers assuring implementation of marketing activities, online content, press awards etc, 

 

Core Responsibility

In alignment with sales, and customers, the marketing manager, will be responsible for:

  • High-level 6-month rolling marketing planning and detailed quarterly marketing planning, budgeting and reporting.
  • Project management and execution of marketing activities including PR and influencer activation.
  • Participation in customer meetings and planning and executing of sell-out activities.
  • Assuring optimal brand and product exposure and presence in e-commerce among others through the implementation of product content and press awards with e-tailers.
  • Organize and coordinate events with partners across the region.

 

Qualifications and skills requirements

  • Proven ability to create demand and move sales through marketing
  • Experience in e-commerce and online marketing
  • Experience within SoMe and public relations
  • Project planning, management and execution
  • Budgeting and negotiation with external suppliers and stakeholders
  • Experience with working in a virtual organization is a plus
  • Fluent in English and Arabic or Turkish is an advantage
  • Insight and understanding of gaming and E-sports will be prioritized
  • 60 days of travelling annually should be expected

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a “similar” role
  • Personal characteristics
  • A hands-on attitude and outgoing personality.
  • Self-driven and proactive with the ability to make decisions
  • Structured and good at finalizing projects
  • Excellent communication skills (both with clients and within the team)
  • Data driven and analytical mindset
